Very nicely designed set of figures. Very little flash to be found and plenty of clean detail. Nicely proportioned figures with realistic sized weaponry. The equipment is accurate from the mid 90's through to today and the poses all seem very natural. All 10 figures are individual sculpts which is a rarity amongst most other popular miniature ranges, with 5 or 6 variants being the norm. A particular favourite of mine is the NCO with the papers in hand... Be they a map of the area or a Portuguese phrase book.
There are only two things about this set that spoil it for me. The first is that they are on the small side of 28mm, being 26mm to eye and 28mm to the top of the helmet. This means that they won't fit with most 28mm ranges outside of Kriegspiel. It is important to know that they do not scale with Eureka's modern line of figures... While this is annoying it isn't overly concerning as due to their smaller size they scale perfectly against 1/56th vehicles.
Secondly is the equipment within the squad. There are 9 figures equipped with the F88 Austeyr, and 1 with the F89 Minimi. It would be nice to have a second F89 to bring the pack in line with more recent fire team structures, but where I feel this pack is lacking is the lack of any M203 equipped troopers.
But weaponry issues aside, I am very happy with this pack. Characterful individual sculpts with plenty of scope for conversions.
All in all a very nice pack.
