The French infantry after 1812, hastily conscripted and led by veteran officers and grizzled NCOs, embodied a culture of glory that exalted sacrifice, virility, and violent bravery. Clad in the newly standardized Bardin uniform—a modern design fully adopted by 1814—they lacked the precision of 1805 but marched with resilience and determination in Napoleon’s embattled campaigns in Germany and France.

These 18mm metal figures, sculpted by Alan Marsh, are unpainted and come in a random mix of variants, requiring some assembly and cleanup.
Six variants. Price per figure.
